Sudoku Puzzle Guide

How the game works

Sudoku Puzzle uses the standard 9-by-9 grid divided into rows, columns, and smaller regions. Each unit must contain the numbers 1 through 9 without repetition. The puzzle is solved through elimination rather than guessing: a blank cell becomes determined when every other candidate is excluded by its row, column, and region.

Controls

Click or tap an empty cell, then choose a number from the on-screen keypad. Fill the grid so each row, column, and outlined box contains each required number once.

Practical tips

• Scan rows and columns with many given numbers before tackling open areas.
• List the missing values for one region and test their possible cells.
• When stuck, search for a number that has only one valid position in a row or column.
